1. About Legalyatra

Legalyatra is an AI-powered legal document preparation platform. We assist users in creating legal documents through an AI-guided intake process. All documents are reviewed and certified by licensed advocates registered with the Bar Council of India.

Legalyatra is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our AI assistant collects information and drafts documents based on templates. A licensed advocate reviews each document for legal validity before delivery.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of India to use Legalyatra. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Services Offered

• AI-assisted document drafting: Our AI collects your information through a conversational interface and generates a document draft.
• Lawyer review and certification: A licensed advocate reviews the AI-generated draft for legal compliance and certifies it.
• Document delivery: Certified documents are delivered as PDFs (Essential plan) or as physical copies via courier (Standard plan).

4. AI Disclaimer

Our AI assistant (powered by Claude, Anthropic) generates document drafts based on the information you provide. The AI output is not legal advice. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions. This is why every document undergoes mandatory lawyer review before delivery.

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all information provided during the intake process and reviewing the final document before use.

5. Lawyer Review Process

Every document generated through Legalyatra is reviewed by a licensed advocate registered with the Bar Council of India. The advocate verifies:

• Legal validity and compliance with applicable Indian laws.
• Completeness and consistency of the document.
• Proper use of legal language and required clauses.

The advocate may request corrections or additional information before certifying the document.

6. Payments

• All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We support UPI, credit/debit cards, and net banking.
• Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes.
• Payment is required after the AI draft is generated and before lawyer review begins.

7. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and truthful information during the intake process.
• Do not use the platform for illegal purposes or to create fraudulent documents.
• Keep your account credentials secure.
• Review the final document and report any errors before using it.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Legalyatra's total liability for any claim arising from the use of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
